Sabina Bigi

Sabina BigiSince 1996 she works at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Roma “La Sapienza”, where she is the head of the Tectonics and Fluid Chemical Lab of the Earth Science Department and currently teaches the courses “Seismic Interpretation and 3D modeling” and “Geological storage”. She represents Sapienza University in the Executive Committee of CO2Geonet. Her research is focused on brittle deformation, mainly faults, and fractures network, with application in the field of hydrocarbons and geothermal exploration, geological storage and applied geology. She dedicated more than a decade to thrust tectonics in contractional settings, as Alps and Apennines (Italy), Zagros Mountains (Iran) and the Andes (Argentina).
