Sergio Persoglia has retired in 2011 at the OGS, where he has been Director of the department Geophysics of the Lithosphere, Advisor to the President, Director for International Collaborations and then a member of the Board of Directors until September 2015.
Expert in seismic data collection and processing, he contributed to many European projects (among which Castor, IncaCO2, CO2GeoNet, CO2ReMoVe, Geocapacity, RISCS, CO2Care, SiteChar, CGS Europe, ECO2 and ECCSEL, all dealing with the geological storage of CO2). Member of the Italian delegation to CSLF (Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum), he is since 2008 Secretary General of the CO2Geonet association.
